There is always a chance to learn something new,and I learned something very interesting by my new nutrition advisor. One of my peers asked her a question on whether Soy protein would count as a "complete" protein. For those of you who are unaware what "complete" protein means it basically claims that the specific protein contains all nine essential amino acids. Most complete proteins come from animal based products so for vegetarians it is very difficult to get your essential nutrients. According to my advisor soy products or nut based products aren't enough. If you are looking for something high in protein you should try Whey products, for they do contain all essential amino acids.
If this is just one simple question that was asked at my orientation I am really excited to see what I actually learn in my nutrition classes. Keep you updated once my classes start :) Try something new or try switching up your diet and see what happens.
